Please Vote in the Primary Today!

Did you know that today is your one shot until November to change the course of history in Oklahoma and the United States? A vote cast today can dramatically change the direction this state takes in key areas such as early childhood opportunities, education, and other human services. If you are over the age of 18, and have registered to vote in this state, you can cast your ballot until 7 PM today.

In order to inform potential voters, the Oklahoma State Election Board has created a comprehensive site to confirm your registration, find your polling place, track your absentee ballot, or view a sample ballot. Races on today’s ballot include Governor of the State of Oklahoma, State Superintendent of Public Education, U.S. Senate and House, State Senate and House, and other top state-level executives.

On this site, you also can check your party affiliation. Due to Oklahoma having a closed primary system, you may only vote in today’s election for candidates that have your registered party affiliation. If you are registered Independent, you cannot vote in today’s election at all.

Live election results will begin to come after polls close at 7:00 PM.  If there is a runoff between two candidates, there will be a special election on August 26. If not, the next opportunity to vote will be November 4. At this time, all party affiliations, including Independents, can vote in the election.

Make sure to take time out of your day to cast your vote.
